Detailed Itinerary

4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

DAY 1: MARRAKECH - HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS - AIT BENHADDOU - DADES VALLEY

Depart from your riad or hotel in Marrakech and travel across the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass through the High Atlas Mountains. We will visit Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a renowned UNESCO World Heritage site and the backdrop for many epic movies. After lunch, continue through the Rose Valley and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to reach your majestic hotel in the Dades Valley.

DAY 2: DADES VALLEY - TODRA GORGES - MERZOUGA (NIGHT AT DUNES EDGE)

After breakfast, depart the Dades Valley for the stunning Todra Gorges, where you can take a leisurely walk beneath the towering 300m canyon walls. We will then drive through Tinghir and Erfoud, eventually arriving at the Merzouga desert. Today you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel right at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, preparing for your deeper desert exploration tomorrow.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT EXPLORATION & CAMEL TREK TO DESERT CAMP

Today is dedicated to discovering the Merzouga desert. We will explore the area around the dunes, visit the nomadic communities, and enjoy traditional Gnaoua music in Khamlia village. In the late afternoon, you will meet your camel caravan for a trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to witness a breathtaking sunset. Spend the night at a luxury or standard desert camp, enjoying a traditional dinner and drumming under the stars.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA - ZIZ VALLEY - AZROU CEDAR FOREST - FES

Wake up early for another spectacular sunrise over the desert. After breakfast, we depart towards Fes, traveling along the scenic Ziz Valley with its lush palm groves. We cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at the cedar forests near Azrou to see the Barbary macaques, and then pass through Ifrane, the 'Switzerland of Morocco'. We will arrive in Fes in the late afternoon, dropping you off at your accommodation.
