Detailed Itinerary

6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS

DAY 1: MARRAKECH - IMLIL (1740m) - TIZI N'TAMATERT - TACHEDDIRT (2300m)

Pick up from Marrakech and drive to Imlil. Meet your guide and muleteers. After loading gear, begin trekking towards the Tizi n'Tamatert pass. Enjoy panoramic views of the adjacent valleys before descending to Tacheddirt, the highest village in the Atlas, for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: TACHEDDIRT - TIZI N'AGUESSIOUL - MATAT (2000m)

We leave Tacheddirt and follow the Imnane valley down to the village of Ikkiss. We then trek up to the Tizi n'Aguessioul pass and descend toward Matat village where we spend the night in a traditional Berber home.

DAY 3: MATAT - TIZI OUDITE (2219m) - AIT AÏSSA (1800m)

Our third day takes us up the Tizi Oudite pass with spectacular views over the Azzaden Valley before descending to the picturesque village of Ait Aïssa. Relax and spend the evening enjoying authentic Berber hospitality.

DAY 4: AIT AÏSSA - TIZI M'ZIK (2489m) - IMLIL - TOUBKAL REFUGE (3207m)

A longer day as we ascend out of the Azzaden Valley over the Tizi M'Zik pass. We descend to Imlil for lunch before continuing our trek upwards past the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch to the Toubkal Refuge, preparing for the summit attempt.

DAY 5: REFUGE - TOUBKAL SUMMIT (4167m) - IMLIL

Wake very early for the summit push. Although steep and challenging, reaching the roof of North Africa at 4,167m is incredibly rewarding. After enjoying the vistas, descend back to the refuge and then all the way down to Imlil for a celebratory evening.

DAY 6: IMLIL - MARRAKECH

Enjoy a leisurely morning in Imlil after the magnificent multi-day trek. Transport will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech, arriving around lunch time.

Recommended Trekking & Hiking Equipment

For our trekking adventures, there is no need to buy a ton of equipment... Most of the equipment can be rented in Imlil locally before the trek begins. A sleeping bag is required for some treks (can be rented too).
